NORTH WALES CHAMPIONS
WREXHAM U11's
Wrexham under 11`s won the prestigious WRU North Wales Rugby Tournament following a great days rugby at Mold. In their pool Wrexham drew their first game 0-0 against Pwllheli before beating Dolgellau 7 tries to 2 with tries from Rhys Thomas (3), Blake Turner, Ethan-Rhys Williams, Ryan Taylor and Capt of the Day Cameron Allen. Next up was a terrific Ruthin team but a try from Allen saw Wrexham into the semi final against Newtown. Wrexham won 6 tries to nil courtesy of Turner (2), Thomas, Taylor, Eddie Partyka and Alfie Matthias. In the final Wrexham again faced Ruthin fresh from seeing off strong rivals Mold and a spectacle of rugby was now played by both teams. Both teams gave it their all but after full time the score was 1 try apiece with Thomas scoring for Wrexham. With the final on a knife edge Wrexham dug deep and produced the winning try with Turner going over leaving Wrexham to be claimed Tournament Champions.
