26th Nov Winnington Park 6-1

5-3

Wrexham combined under 11 and U10 squad put on a terrific performance against Northwich Winnington Park this Sunday at Wrexham Rugby Club. Both teams played great rugby over two matches with honours shared equally. The first game going Wrexham's way with tries from Jordan Jones, two for Sean Lea and three for Richard Bevis, the final score being 6-1 to the home team. The second match ended up at 5-3 to Winnington Park, Wrexham's tries coming from Harry Powell, Richard Bevis and Sean Lea

22nd Oct Nant Conwy 28 - 7

Nant Conwy had huge squads of both tens and elevens and we only have one team containing a mixture of under10s/11s so Nant asked if we could make up an under 10 and under 11 team borrowing players from them to make up the teams. We had seven under 11s so we only needed to borrow three players from Nant Conwy. The boys and played some outstanding rugby but their inexperience did show against a well drilled Nant Conwy side. Richard Bevis scored our only try with an outstanding run down the wing which he then converted. We finished on a score of 28-7 and would like to thank the Nant Conwy players who joined our squad for their tremendous contribution to the game.

14th Oct Mold 24 - 5

33 - 12

The new Wrexham combined U11/U10 team played their second game on Sunday, this time against Mold Under 10s. Mold played an  excellent game of rugby but couldn't quite match the speed and strength of some of the slightly older Wrexham boys. Two games were played, the first resulting in 24 points to 5 victory for Wrexham with tries from Owen Evans, Liam Hutchinson, Shaun Nelson and Tom Nelson, and two conversions by Tom Nelson.          The second game result was 33 points to 12 in Wrexham's favour.Tries for Wrexham came from Elis Jones converted by Richard Bevis, Three tries from Harry Powell, converted by Tom Rintoul, Tom Nelson and Liam Hutchinson, and another try for Tom Nelson.  Both teams played very well and showed great sportsmanship.

8th Oct Llandudno 28-0

The Wrexham combined under 11/10 side had a fantastic start to the season at Llandudno today, They firstly played the Llandudno U11 squad and whilst the score line shows that they came second by 4 converted tries to none, this does not reflect the game at all. The tries came as a result of breakaway runs, that in fact were the only occasions that Llandudno set foot in the Wrexham half of the pitch. Wrexham played an excellent attacking game of rugby with a fantastic effort from all players. The second match was against the mostly U10 Llandudno team. The Wrexham boys took an early lead with a try from Harry Powell, converted by Tom Nelson. Sean Lea gets his name on the score sheet with two tries resulting form excellent team play, both were succesfully converted by Nick Ferrari, and Thomas Rintoul. Tom Nelson again scored a try, with the conversion this time by Harry Powell All in making up an excellent 28-0 result. Very well done to all of the boys. This was their first ever match as a team, with many players completely new to the game and to the club. The Llandudno coaches were most complimentary on the standard of passing particularly.
