Wrexhan U12s V Oswestry U12s
1st Game
Wrexham overcame a strong Oswestry team at Bryn Estyn to win 15-0 on a cold and windy morning. Wrexham coped well with the big Oswestry pack to secure quick possession which the backs put to good effect, running in 3 tries to nil. Wrexham's try scorers were Elliot Davidson-Brookin, Lewis Jones and Owen Evans.
2nd Game
Wrexham made 9 changes for the second game, comprising mainly players making their debut for Wrexham. Considering their rlack of experience their performance was outstanding. The Wrexham debutants gave everything they had, but Oswestry proved too strong finishing 14-5 winners. Wrexhams try scorer was Kieran Jones.

Jan 11th Flint (A) Cancelled

Game cancelled due to frozen pitch.

Dec 14th Shrewsbury (A)

Oswestry (A)

(D) 14 - 14

(W) 7 - 7

What a superb performance to come back from 14-nil down. We had 2 lapses of concentration and gifted Shrewsbury 2 tries but fought back in the 2nd half to score 2 of our own.

The second game of the day for us and we made several changes. The changes didnt weaken us at all which is testament to the lads coming into the side. This was a very well matched game which was still 0-0 with 3 minutes to go when Owen Evans crashed over to score the winner under the posts. A really good team effort in defence closed the game out for us and a well deserved win.

Dec 7th Caldy/Sanbach (A) Cancelled

Games unfortunately cancelled when we arrived at Caldy due to frozen pitch - it was far too dangerous for the lads to play. Thanks to everyone for travelling up there - a good turn out again!

Nov 23rd Llandudno (A) (L) 15 - 0

(L) 14 - 5

Another 2 good games from our lads. The effort and commitment they showed was second to none. But for the Llandudno number 12 who was really good I think we would have done a lot better. We lost the first game 3 tries to nil, all scored by the home side number 12. We made a few changes for the second game and faired better but still lost 14-5. Rhys Lloyd was our scorer.

Nov 23rd WIRRAL (H) (D) 0 - 0

What a great couple of games. Wirral looked a really good side. The first game was a real battle with both defences unbeaten with the final score 0-0. The second game saw us make several changes, but Wirral were again unable to break us down, and we could have snatched it at the end. 0-0 again. Looks like we have some strength in depth as well! Well done lads!

Nov 9th Col Bay (A) (L) 24 - 5

Although a loss, the score doesnt really tell the tale. Colwyn Bay are a very strong side, and except for 2 disallowed tries and a bit of bad luck, we could have done better. Things look good for the future. Elliot Brookin was our try scorer.

Nov 2nd (H) (W) 46 - 0

Wrexham U12s got off to a great start in their long awaited first match of the season on Sunday. The home team, playing for the first time on a full sized pitch, made good use of the space, running in 5 tries in the first half. Wrexham's forwards dominated possesion in the cold conditions, with Aled Livingstone providing excellent service to the backs from ruck and scrum. The second half saw a much stronger performance from Flint, who came close on 2 occasions. However, Wrexham continued to dominate to run in an additional 4 tries for a 47 - 0 victory. Try scorers were Lewis Jones, Chris Thatcher (3), Rhys Lloyd (3), Owen Evans and Kieran Jones. Man of the Match went to Harry Cross for his superb display in the 2nd row.
